GROUP TRAINING CLASSES
BIG DOG Canine Behavioral Training also offers group training classes. Our group courses are designed to help socialize your dog and to give owner's the tools and knowledge necessary to properly train their dogs. During each course, we will discuss the fundamentals of how dogs learn, how dogs communicate with each other and how to correctly train your dog using positive "marker" training techniques. By learning the basics of positive reinforcement training, you will build a trusting and loving relationship with your dog, learn how how to conduct fun and upbeat training sessions, have a dog that pays attention to its owner and you will become a respected, calm and confident pack leader.
PACK WALK WORKSHOP
I am excited to announce more Pack Walk Workshops. Having trouble walking your dog? Does your dog go crazy at the sight of another dog? Does your dog walk you? This one-hour class is a wonderful opportunity to learn proper leash handling skills, how to manage your dog in an exciting and distracting environment and different techniques for teaching your dog proper walking etiquette. The beginning of each class is focused on teaching owners how to get their dog into a calm state-of-mind using proper energy, leadership, reward and correction techniques. Then we will focus on leash walking skills and activities in a group setting to encourage harmony among the pack members and finish the day with a pack walk. Be prepared to have a lot of fun, pick up some good information and to learn a variety of techniques to guide and train your dog. Please contact me if interested or if you would like some more information about the workshop. The class is conducted outdoors and is subject to being rescheduled due to bad weather.

BASIC OBEDIENCE CLASS
BIG DOG Canine Behavioral Training has teamed up with Therapets of Roanoke Valley to offer this educational class. This 7-week course is designed for dogs that are about 20 weeks of age or older.
