"Nemo"
Welcome to Big Dog Canine Behavioral Training. My name is Adam Miller and I am the owner and trainer who would like to help you learn how to live a harmonious life with your dog.
The mission at Big Dog Canine Behavioral Training is to teach owners the proper techniques for communicating with their dog, training obedience commands and correcting unwanted behaviors There are few bad dogs, just owners that need some direction and guidance in their training techniques.
Our dogs are a big part of our lives and, in many instances, are considered family members. We spend most of our waking hours and, sometimes, most of our sleeping hours with them so it is imperative that they be well behaved, respectful and attentive.
Being so intertwined in our lives, it is crucial that we understand how to correctly set rules and boundaries when it comes to correct and acceptable behavior. Just because we love them does not guarantee that they will be well mannered.
Dogs need a capable and confident leader to show them what types of behavior are acceptable and unacceptable. It is important that owners understand how dogs think and what training techniques a dog will understand and follow.
We humans need to understand the basics of dog psychology and be committed to the learning process involved in becoming a consistent and confident pack leader in order to correct bad behavior. Owners must not only earn the trust of their dog but their respect as well.
Please take a moment to look through my website for more information about my techniques and services. I have also included a brief personal history. Furthermore, please feel free to visit my Facebook page for helpful training tips, information on current training sessions and interesting pictures and quotes about dogs.
The company is named after my newfoundland Nemo (who is pictured above) so I can honor and remember him. Please note that I work with all dog sizes and not just "big dogs" (I get this question all the time). Thank you for stopping by my website and showing an interest in Big Dog Canine Behavioral Training.
